The Jubilee Society Ball (Event) is an end of year celebration marking 25 years of the Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney’s University Catholic Chaplaincies while celebrating the Jubilee Year with the wider Catholic community of Sydney


The Catholic Archdiocese of Sydney (Archdiocese) is the organiser of the Event.


The Event will take place on 20th December 2025 at 6:30pm until 11:00pm at Town Hall, Sydney 483 George St, Sydney NSW.

In order to participate in the Event as an attendee (Attendee), Attendees must complete the online registration and agree to the Jubilee Society Ball Terms and Conditions set out below.


Jubilee Society Ball Terms and Conditions


Registration and cancellation

1.        Attendees must be aged over 18 years old to register to attend the Event.


2.        In order to attend the Event, Attendees must register and pay a fee (Fee) and registration costs (TryBooking Fee). 


3.        Tickets (either digital or printed copies) must be presented to gain entry to the Event.


4.        Registration for the Event will close on 8th December 2025 at 6pm.


5.        Registration for the Event is through the TryBooking ticketing platform at https://www.trybooking.com/DHHWA.


6.        There are different registration options for the Event as follows:


a. Student Early Bird Admission:  150 Student Early Bird Tickets are available for purchase by university students (until sold out) for the Fee of $99.

Students must be enrolled at an Australian university to be eligible to purchase Student Early Bird Tickets and evidence of current university enrolment must be presented to gain entry to the Event.

b. Regular Student Admission:  100 Student Tickets are available for purchase by university students (until sold out) for a Fee of $115.00.

Students must be enrolled at an Australian university to be eligible to purchase Student Tickets and evidence of current university enrolment must be presented to gain entry to the Event.

c. Adult Early Bird Admission:  100 Adult Early Bird Tickets are available for purchase (until sold out) for a Fee. These tickets are for adults who are not enrolled in an Australian University.


d. Regular Adult Admission:  150 Adult Tickets are available for purchase (until sold out) for a Fee of $150.00. These tickets are for adults who are not enrolled in an Australian University.


7.        A TryBooking Fee of up to $0.50 + 2.5% of the ticket price is payable per registration which covers booking and administration fees of the TryBooking ticketing platform.


8.        The Fee and TryBooking Fee are inclusive of GST.


9.        Payment of the relevant Fee and TryBooking Fee is required at the time of registration.


10.     If Attendees cancel registration before 28th November 2025, they will be entitled to receive a refund of the Fee. Attendees are not entitled to a refund of the Trybooking Fee.


11.     Attendees are not entitled to a refund for a cancellation made on or after 29th November 2025, or in circumstances where you do not attend the Event or in circumstances where Attendees are refused entry or required to leave the Event (See 15 and 16 below). Exceptions for extenuating circumstances will be considered by the Archdiocese on a case-by-case basis.


12.     If, for any reason, any part of the Event cannot commence or continue as planned in any respect, the Archdiocese reserves the right to cancel the Event at its discretion. 


13.     If the Archdiocese cancels the Event under clause 12, Attendees will be entitled to a refund of the total registration fee paid for the cancelled Event, less the TryBooking Fee.


Admission to, and Conduct at, the Event

14.     All Attendees must conduct themselves appropriately at the Event.


15.     The Archdiocese reserves the right to refuse entry to any Attendee who is acting in an unruly or overly noisy manner, who is intoxicated or behaving inappropriately. 


16.     The Archdiocese also reserves the right to require any Attendee who is, in the Archdiocese’s sole discretion, acting inappropriately at the Event, to leave the Event.


17.     If an Attendee is refused entry or required to leave the Event under clause 15 or 16, that Attendee will not be entitled to a refund of the Fee or TryBooking Fee.


Filming and photographing


18.     I am 18 years of age or above.


19.     I may be filmed and/or photographed (Footage) when attending the Event.


20.     I agree to and permit the Archdiocese and its nominees using the Footage and my name, image, likeness and voice in accordance with this consent.


21.     I consent to the Archdiocese and its nominees, without limitation, using, reproducing, exhibiting, editing, adapting, compiling with other works or materials, transmitting, broadcasting, publishing and distributing the Footage in any media at its discretion, for educational, promotional, marketing and other purposes (including commercial purposes) associated with the Event, or the Archdiocese’s events, or consistent with the Archdiocese’s (and broader Catholic community’s) activities and objectives.


22.     I acknowledge that the Archdiocese is not obliged to publish or otherwise use the Footage or any part of it.


23.     I agree that any form of intellectual property rights in the Footage and all works derived or created under it are owned by the Trustees of the Roman Catholic Church for the Archdiocese of Sydney on behalf of the Archdiocese, and any intellectual property rights that I may have in the Footage are fully assigned to the Trustees of the Roman Catholic Church for the Archdiocese of Sydney on behalf of the Archdiocese.


24.     To the full extent permitted by law, I consent to the doing of anything in relation to the Footage that (but for the consents provided in this Terms and Conditions document) would otherwise infringe any moral rights or similar non-assignable personal rights that I might otherwise have including but not limited to publishing the Footage without attribution and modifying/ adapting the Footage.


Privacy


25.     I acknowledge that the Archdiocese and its nominees collect my personal information for purposes of organising the Event and contacting me about activities and initiatives of the Archdiocese, or where I have otherwise opted in to receiving communication. The Archdiocese may disclose my personal information to its related entities, contractors and third-party service providers for purposes relating to the Event.


26.     The Archdiocese’s privacy policy available at https://www.sydneycatholic.org/terms-and-conditions/#privacy provides information about how to access and seek correction of personal information, how to complain about a breach of Australian privacy laws, and how complaints are dealt with.


27.     I agree that the laws of New South Wales, Australia govern these Terms and Conditions.

 

By clicking Purchase on the Trybooking registration form, you acknowledge that you have read and agree with these Jubilee Society Ball Terms and Conditions.


Please present your ticket(s) in digital or hard copy form and evidence of student enrolment (if applicable) to gain Entry to the Event.
